Bringing learning to life

Your child’s education will be enhanced by a wide range of trips and visitors to our school, bringing their learning to life.

Termly trips, in support of the current topic, offer excitement and new experiences for the children – and the chance for parents and carers to come along to support the trip and join in the fun!

Bristol Grammar School's central location means there is a whole host of places our children can visit to enrich and enhance their classroom learning. From a walk across Brunel's famous suspension bridge, to exploring the exhibits at We the Curious, or spotting sea life at Bristol's Aquarium, we are fortunate to be within easy reach of many exciting learning experiences.

Further afield, the children have enjoyed trips to Westonbirt Arboretum, a day at the seaside, Cardiff Castle and Rove's Farm amongst others, experiencing all the excitement of a day out with classmates alongside seeing the topics they have been learning about in the classroom brought vividly to life.

Back at school, we regularly welcome a wide variety of visitors into the classroom to share their insights and experience with the children. We have enjoyed visits from authors, doctors, dentist, a guide dog and even police horses. Themed topic days and guest speakers all bring the wider world into your child’s classroom, enriching their learning and understanding of a topic.
